巴黎這次沒有成功獲得2012年奧運會的主辦權是件憾事。敗北的原因其實再清楚不過。還是友人犀利﹑智慧過人。慶幸沒有和她賭這次的賽過。真如她所測﹔巴黎會像北京當年那般把2000奧運會的主辦權眼巴巴地的讓給悉尼一樣﹐讓給倫敦。如同一轍。

“有評論員說，倫敦能夠迎頭赶上，与它的最后陳述有著很大的關系。他們整個陳述的中心主題別具匠心，即著眼于如何讓更多的年輕人參加体育運動，這是其他申辦城市所沒有触及的。

為了体現這主題，倫敦申奧委員會還特意將30個10多歲的青少年帶到陳述現場，他們都來自倫敦相對貧窮和落后的東部，而這里也是倫敦申奧委員會規划的奧運主賽場。”《聯合早報》

真不覺得倫敦的陳述有多特別﹐不就和我們經常看到的運動產品廣告一般麻。簡直把咱們當白痴。與其說巴黎輸在時運不濟倒不如說是輸在和某某不同宗的關鍵。 事實勝于雄辨。什麼奧運精神﹖到最後還不是“同聲同氣”才能跑到終點。

WMD T- Shirts on sale

Our fundraiser T-shirts, these lovely pink ones that say "I Am Woman Hear Me Roar" will be sold at 77th Street at #01-31/35 Far East Plaza, as well as #05-03/04 Heeren.

They cost $39.90 and the first 400 buyers (of various sizes) will get a free bag.

If anyone wants T-shirts for MEN or KIDS, we have very nice ones ($38 for men, $25 for kids) in very limited quantities, by mail order.

All net proceeds go to UNIFEM Singapore, which will distribute the funds to shelters that house and rehab women and children who have been forced or sold into prostitution. Please kindly support the cause. Thank You.
